Flying Insect Attack!

The other night my husband and I were sitting out on the patio enjoying the nice dry comfortable air for a change. As we sat there my husband pointed out to me that a spider was climbing up a web from the ground to the branches of our tree. As we watched it make the ascent all of a sudden out of nowhere this flying insect came by and plucked it out of the air.

The two of them fell to the ground instantly. Be curious about what just took place we went over to investigate where they fell. We finally located them and this is when I went and got my camera. The flying insect was having difficulty moving the spider. The both of them were about the same size and weight. The flying insect did manage to move it about a foot. We just assumed it sucked out of the spider what it could than flew away and abandoned the carcass.
