Tossed out treasures.

Okay, so it's been a while since I have been doing yard/garage sales in the local area. I just love finding treasures that are being tossed out by others.

On Friday only three houses down from me there was a sale outdoors. There was this bicycle in the driveway but I didn't pay any attention to it. Upon viewing the items on the tables I spied a brand spanking new hummingbird feeder. It had my name on it and of course I bought it. A few hours later I was about to drive by the sale again and stopped again to check out the price on the bicycle. When I asked about it I could not believe my ears at the low price that was put on it. I bought the bicycle, loaded it in the bed of the truck and went to the mall.

When I got home I inspected it closer and the tires are almost new, the frame is in good shape, there is some rust but easily taken care of, and the biggest problem it has is that it is stuck in one gear. There are what it looks like to me to have a 12 if not a 18 gear shift. If this is what it is called nowadays. The cost of the bike was little to nothing so to invest some money in it would not be a problem.

The bicycye will be used on trails for geocaching. In fact, my husband and I will be using it the next time we go to Jonathan Dickinson State Park to find caches on the bike trails.

Keep a joyful spirit

Cool! I love garage sales...you just never know what treasures you may find. The bike sounds good. I'll have to bring mine up next time so we can hit the trails together!

I recently visited a nearby wetlands with my sister and shared some collages of Snowy Egrets at Small Reflections.
